AMHEC Annual Conference 2013

It is with great pleasure that I inform you that bookings for the AMHEC Annual Conference 2013 are now open. The theme of the Conference is ‘The 2012 Legacy: Ability, Stamina & Performance - Fitness for Purpose’ and will take place at the University of Chester on Thursday 11 April and Friday 12 April.

The Conference will reflect on our experiences in 2012 and where they have left us.  What have we learnt, what’s new and what does it mean for the future of higher education.  In this new world of higher fees and heightened competition we will look at where Government policy is likely to take us and where efforts and resource should be channelled for 2013 and beyond. With speakers from inside and outside the sector and sessions on sector finance, student choice, institutional positioning and reputation, marketing, and student learning environments the Conference is sure to provide an excellent opportunity to reflect on the 2012 legacy and the challenges for our institutions in the new higher education market.

Presentations are already confirmed from Hefce and the Teaching Agency, Mike Boxall from PA Consulting Group will be joining us to discuss strategic partnerships and alliances, Watson Batty will be giving a presentation on student learning environments and Piers Frazier from Trinity Laban will be reflecting on the opportunities for international development.  We will confirm further speakers shortly.

The conference is sure to offer another engaging programme of speakers and provide an excellent opportunity to network with colleagues and debate what is happening in the sector.

To book your place please complete the booking form and return to Louise McGroarty and for any further information do not hesitate to call us on 01904 876565 or e: amhec@yorksj.ac.uk
